China International Import Expo prepares for ninth annual event in Shanghai

The ninth China International Import Expo (CIIE) is scheduled to take place at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai from November 5 to 10. Preparations are underway with 265 Fortune Global 500 and industry leader companies signed up to participate, an increase of 10 compared to the same period last year.

In the consumer and beauty sectors, brands such as Uniqlo, Estée Lauder, and L'Oréal have announced plans to showcase new products and technologies. Uniqlo will feature international designer collaborations, while L'Oréal intends to debut several beauty technology projects in Asia.

The healthcare sector will also see significant participation. AstraZeneca plans to present its full value chain layout in China, including the debut of the hypertension drug baxdrostat. Boehringer Ingelheim will showcase 14 frontier results, including a GLP-1 dual receptor agonist, and Merck will display approximately 30 innovative drugs already approved in China.
