China International Medical Equipment Fair to open in Beijing

The 94th China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF) is scheduled to take place from October 21–24 at the Capital International Exhibition & Convention Center in Beijing. Organized by Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions, the event is expected to host nearly 3,000 exhibitors and over 120,000 professional visitors, including approximately 10,000 overseas buyers.

The fair will cover various sectors, including medical imaging, in vitro diagnostics, rehabilitation, and senior care. A specialized Medical AI Frontier Zone will highlight advancements in medical robotics, brain-computer interfaces, and 5G-enabled healthcare applications.

This event coincides with a period of significant growth in the Chinese medical device sector. As of the end of 2025, China recorded 33,210 medical device manufacturers. Market forecasts suggest the industry's BMI could reach $55.2 billion by 2029. Manufacturing and registration activity remains concentrated in regions such as Jiangsu, Guangdong, Beijing, Shanghai, and Zhejiang.
