China launches unified wealth management information disclosure platform

The China Wealth Management Network, a unified information disclosure platform designated by the National Financial Regulatory Administration, officially commenced full operations on September 1. The platform integrates information disclosure, industry monitoring, customer service, and data reporting.

As of its launch, 32 wealth management companies, 141 banking institutions with active public wealth management products, and 41 custody institutions have connected to the platform. On the first day of operation, the system disclosed nearly 7,000 announcements and approximately 60,000 data points, including net values.

The centralized platform aims to reduce information acquisition costs for investors by providing a single, authoritative channel for free queries. This move is intended to enhance the comparability of products, allowing investors to evaluate risk levels, net value fluctuations, and asset allocations more effectively. Furthermore, the platform is expected to strengthen market constraints by making the operational capabilities and risk management of institutions more transparent, while providing regulators with standardized data for improved industry monitoring and macro-prudential analysis.
