China leads global public security index as service trade summit convenes in Beijing

At the Global Service Trade Summit 2026 held in Beijing, Chinese Vice Premier Ting Shuexiang emphasized the growing importance of service trade in driving global economic growth and industrial upgrading. He highlighted China's efforts to deepen openness in the service sector and suggested focusing on high-quality development, inclusive cooperation, and the integration of digital and intelligent technologies to drive future growth.

Separately, the Global Public Security Cooperation Forum in Lianyungang released the “Global Public Security Index Report (2025-2026).” The report, which covers 62 countries, ranked China first in public security with a score of 84.62. Other high-scoring nations included Singapore and Uzbekistan, all of which scored 80 or above on the 100-point scale.
