China Marine Economy Expo opens in Shenzhen

The 2026 China Marine Economy Expo officially opened on October 22 at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center. Themed ‘Digital and Smart Ocean: Co-creating a Sustainable Future’, the event covers 50,000 square meters and features more than 350 enterprises.

The expo includes eight exhibition zones focusing on sectors such as deep-sea energy development, green shipping, marine ecology, marine biomedicine, and disaster early warning systems. It also features specialized zones for international participation and technological innovation.

For the first time, the expo introduced a Guest Country of Honor mechanism, with France serving as the inaugural honoree. The French pavilion showcases Sino-French cooperation in areas including deep-sea research, polar affairs, and marine engineering. Hainan also participated as the inaugural Guest Province of Honor.
