China monitor market average price exceeds 1,000 yuan

The average online retail price for monitors in China reached 1,001 yuan in the third quarter of 2026, marking a 6.4% year-on-year increase. This shift signals the end of a previous price decline and the beginning of a price recovery phase.

Analysts attribute this rise to two primary factors: rising costs for integrated circuits (IC) and panel price fluctuations, alongside an upgrading of the market's product structure. While entry-level models under 1,000 yuan still account for approximately 73% of sales volume, demand in this segment has dropped by 8% as manufacturers reduce supply or raise prices to avoid low margins.

In contrast, the high-end segment priced above 2,000 yuan is seeing growth in sales across all price points. Although these premium models represent only 8% of total sales volume, they are driving overall market revenue due to higher unit prices and better profit margins. Consumers are increasingly opting for mid-to-high-end models that offer superior color accuracy, HDR effects, and larger screen sizes.
