China online laptop sales fall 12.1% in H1 2026
Data from RUNTO indicates that China's online laptop market experienced a decline in the first half of 2026. Total sales reached 5.57 million units, a 12.1% year-on-year decrease, while total revenue fell 4.9% to 39.7 billion yuan.
The average selling price rose 8.2% to 7,120 yuan. This price increase is attributed to several factors: the exhaustion of demand due to previous government subsidies, the prior replacement cycle triggered by the end of Windows 10 support, and rising component costs. Specifically, AI server demand has driven up DRAM and SSD prices, while Intel has increased CPU pricing and reduced low-end processor production.
Market concentration is increasing among top brands. Lenovo, Apple, Asus, Mechrevo, and HP collectively hold an 82.3% market share, up 11 percentage points from the previous year. Lenovo leads the market with approximately 33% of online sales. The high-end segment (over 10,000 yuan) saw its market share rise to 14.0%, driven by professional demand and specific policy subsidies.
