China promotes Long March history through immersive community performances

In Yudu, Jiangxi, an immersive situational drama titled ‘Farewell’ is being performed at the East Gate Ferry to commemorate the Long March. The production, performed by a troupe of volunteers and descendants of Red Army soldiers, reenacts historical moments of separation and sacrifice from the 1934 expedition. Performers, including elderly descendants, use the stage to preserve the memory of the soldiers who departed from this location.

Similarly, in the Lanyuanli Community of Tianjin Binhai New Area, local organizations held a ‘Red Flash Mob’ and themed party lesson. The event focused on the stories of female Red Army soldiers during the Long March, utilizing immersive storytelling and musical performances to bring revolutionary history to local residents and promote the inheritance of the Long March spirit.
