China promotes military and academic traditions through seminars and veteran storytelling
Educational and military institutions in China are conducting activities to promote historical traditions and patriotic spirit.
The Electronic and Information Engineering Department at Harbin Institute of Technology held a seminar focused on the school’s ‘Pioneer’ culture and ‘Radar Iron Army’ spirit. The event included reports on the historical significance of these values and their application to modern scientific research and national strategic needs.
Separately, a unit of the Air Force hosted a group of six veterans, including 90-year-old Korean War veteran Zhang Deyi, to speak with active-duty personnel. The veterans shared personal accounts of combat experiences and resilience during the Korean War to encourage new recruits during field training exercises.
