China reaffirms support for Palestinian cause and strategic partnership

Chinese Ambassador to Palestine, Sun Chen, has reaffirmed that the Palestinian cause remains the central issue in the Middle East and must not be marginalized. Following the presentation of his credentials to President Mahmoud Abbas, Sun highlighted the deepening strategic partnership between China and Palestine.

A key milestone in this relationship is the recent signing of an agreement for the “China-Palestine Friendship and Development Building.” This project is described as the largest Chinese aid initiative to Palestine since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two nations.

Sun also detailed China’s recent intensive diplomatic efforts in the region, including President Xi Jinping’s initiatives to support a two-state solution and restore the legitimate national rights of the Palestinian people. He emphasized a pursuit of peace based on justice, equality, and international law, independent of geopolitical tensions.
