China Rejects Trump’s Claims of U.S. Election Interference as Fabrications

Former U.S. President Donald Trump reiterated accusations that China and Russia meddled in the 2020 American presidential election, alleging that China stole 220 million voter files and attempted to fabricate ballots favoring Joe Biden. In response, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian described the allegations as “pure fabrications and malicious slanders,” stating that China has no interest in U.S. elections and has never intervened. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov also denied any Russian involvement. Trump announced he will declassify documents he says prove the interference claims.

The Chinese officials urged the United States to reflect on its own actions and cease spreading unfounded accusations, emphasizing that the international community sees the United States as the frequent intervener in other nations’ internal affairs.
