China Securities to open regional office in Dubai

China Securities, a Beijing-headquartered investment bank, has been granted a license by the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Authority to establish a regional office. The firm has also received authorization from the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA), the independent regulator for financial services within the DIFC.

The new office is intended to serve as a strategic base for the firm to interact with customers, investors, and financial institutions throughout the Middle East. The expansion aims to strengthen linkages between Chinese, UAE, and global capital markets, reinforcing Dubai’s role as a gateway for investment flows between Asia and the Middle East.

China Securities joins an established group of major Chinese financial institutions operating in the DIFC, including Agricultural Bank of China, Bank of China, Bank of Communications, China Construction Bank, China International Capital Corporation Limited, China Merchants Bank International, and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China. Currently, the five largest Chinese banks hold more than 30% of the assets in the DIFC’s Banking and Capital Markets sector.
