China sees 26-year high in producer price inflation

In China, the Producer Price Index (PPI) rose 10.7% year-over-year in September, reaching a 26-year high. This marks nine consecutive months of price growth for producers. Meanwhile, consumer price index (CPI) growth for non-food goods has remained neutral, and food prices saw a 5.2% decline. This divergence between rising producer costs and stable consumer prices has led to concerns regarding potential stagflation, though some analysts suggest the trend may be transitory if energy and debt crises are contained.

Regarding infrastructure, the Lane Xang EMU train, completed by the China State Railway Group, has officially arrived at Vientiane Station in Laos. The train operates at speeds of 160 km per hour and represents a recent development in China-Laos collaboration under the Belt and Road Initiative.
