China smart projector market sales decline in Q3 2026

The Chinese smart projector market, excluding laser TVs, experienced a 26.2% year-on-year decline in sales volume during the third quarter of 2026, according to data from │Omdia|. Total sales reached 829,000 units, while revenue fell 27.1% to 1.23 billion yuan.

This marks the fourth consecutive quarter of declines exceeding 20% for the industry. Analysts attribute the downturn to a weak macro environment, softening consumer demand, and a shift in how smart projectors are positioned within home large-screen ecosystems. The third quarter also coincided with a traditional seasonal lull between major shopping festivals.

Market concentration remains high, with the top 10 online brands accounting for 74% of sales volume and 81.7% of revenue. XGIMI maintained its leadership in both categories. Among technology trends, laser light sources saw their market share rise to 19.9%, with triple-color laser technology accounting for 98.1% of that segment.
