China stock markets snap three-day losing streak

Chinese stock markets ended a three-day losing streak on Tuesday. The Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.18 percent to finish at 3,830.45, supported by gains in the resource, agricultural, and utility sectors, which offset declines in technology stocks. The Shenzhen Composite Index also saw gains, increasing 0.41 percent to close at 2,410.04.

The broader global market outlook remains cautious as investors await key U.S. inflation data, which is expected to influence the Federal Reserve’s upcoming monetary policy meeting. This anticipation contributed to choppy trading on Wall Street, where major averages closed lower. Additionally, crude oil prices fell following reports of recovering exports from Saudi Arabian Red Sea ports.
