China Telecom’s TeleAgent AI agent reaches 1.5 million users
China Telecom’s office AI agent, TeleAgent, has surpassed 1.5 million registered users and reached over 200,000 daily active users. This growth represents a significant increase from the 27,000 registered users reported in mid-June.
Liu Guiqing, President and Chief Operating Officer of China Telecommunications Corporation, announced the milestone at PT Expo China 2026. He noted that TeleAgent signifies a shift in artificial intelligence from merely understanding language to executing end-to-end tasks.
Developed by China Telecom AI Technology Co. (TeleAI), the application serves professionals, small and medium-sized enterprises, and large state-owned conglomerates. The platform offers both an enterprise SaaS edition for multi-device collaboration and a private-deployment edition designed to keep data within local, sovereign environments. The product's skill marketplace has grown to over 50,000 skills, the vast majority of which were created by end users to address specific productivity challenges.
