The report also referenced earlier Chinese activities – an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) launch into the Pacific in September 2024 and a series of silo‑based ICBM tests in December 2024 – suggesting a shift toward a larger, more publicly demonstrated nuclear arsenal.
