China to host commercial exhibition in Costa Rica with 55 companies

Fifty-five Chinese companies will participate in the China Commercial Exhibition held at the Pedregal Event Center in Costa Rica from October 16 to 19, 2026. Organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the event will showcase technologies and products in sectors including new energy, electric vehicles, machinery, healthcare, artificial intelligence, electronics, and consumer goods.

The exhibition aims to facilitate two-way trade. Beyond introducing Chinese technological solutions to the Costa Rican market, the event is designed to connect Costa Rican producers and suppliers with Chinese importers to help local products enter the Chinese market. Zelin Cui, an assistant representative of the CCPIT, stated that the exhibition will allow participants to understand China's productive capacity while providing a space for Costa Rican and Latin American companies to connect with Chinese buyers.

The event will be divided into three main areas: presenting business opportunities and industrial policies within China, connecting Chinese importers with Costa Rican suppliers, and gathering Chinese exporters interested in offering services and technology to Costa Rica and Latin America. Delegations from Shanghai, Shanxi, and Henan will also be in attendance.
