China: Two individuals sentenced to prison for Falun Gong ties

Reports indicate recent legal actions against individuals in China linked to Falun Gong. In Liaoning Province, Zhang Bo was sentenced to one year and three months in prison, along with a fine of 10,000 RMB. The sentencing follows a police operation in Dashiqiao City in November 2025, where authorities reportedly conducted surveillance and a raid on the home of Zhang's parents.

In Chongqing, 88-year-old Zhu Yugui was sentenced and sent to the Chongqing Zouma Women's Prison between March and June 2026. The case is reportedly connected to the use of 'truth-clarification coins.' Zhu had previously faced pressure from local authorities to renounce her beliefs and had experienced periods of homelessness due to such pressures.
