China-US relations face ongoing risks and challenges, says Wang Yi

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with US Ambassador David Perdue in Beijing to discuss the current state of China-US relations. Wang Yi noted that the bilateral relationship continues to face various risks and challenges.

During the meeting, Wang emphasized the need for both nations to focus on positive agendas, manage differences effectively, and remove obstacles hindering high-level exchanges. He stated that such steps are necessary to promote stable, healthy, and sustainable development between the two countries.

Ambassador Perdue expressed readiness to work with China to strengthen communication, increase cooperation, and prepare for upcoming high-level contacts. The discussions occurred alongside the third ‘Track 1.5’ dialogue in Beijing, highlighting a period of intensified diplomatic engagement aimed at managing disagreements and maintaining strategic stability.
