China Xizang Trans-Himalaya Stage 2 Won by Aliaksei Shnyrko

Stage 2 of the 2026 China Xizang Trans‑Himalaya cycling race ended in a tight sprint finish. Aliaksei Shnyrko of the Li Ning Star team claimed victory, beating Davide Persico of MBH Bank CSB Telecom Fort, who finished second, while Cameron Scott took third.

Italian‑registered Bardiani‑CSF riders also featured prominently: Filippo Cettolin secured second place on the stage, with teammates Luca Colnaghi and Filippo Magli rounding out the top ten. Alexander Konychev (China Anta‑Mentech) retained the yellow leader’s jersey in the general classification, maintaining a narrow margin ahead of his rivals as the race moves toward its third stage in Lhasa, Tibet.
