China's GAC Group Secures Spot on Fortune Global 500 for 14th Year

GAC Group, a leading Chinese automaker, has been listed on the 2026 Fortune Global 500 for the 14th consecutive year, underscoring its expanding global footprint. The company marked a production milestone on July 16, 2026, when its 30 millionth vehicle rolled off the assembly line, a feat achieved in just 29 years.

In the first half of 2026, GAC’s overseas exports surged 132 % year‑on‑year to 121,483 vehicles, bringing total exports above 540,000 units. The firm now operates in more than 110 countries and regions, with 746 sales and service outlets and seven overseas manufacturing plants. Recent expansions include the start of mass production at a new plant in Graz, Austria, and market entry in the United Kingdom and Spain. GAC highlights its shift toward electrification, intelligent transformation, and a move from volume‑driven to value‑driven growth within China’s automotive sector.
