Summer Davos Forum 2026 in Dalian, China focuses on large‑scale innovation

The World Economic Forum’s annual New Champions meeting, known as the Summer Davos Forum, will be held in the port city of Dalian, Liaoning province, China from 23 to 25 June 2026. More than 1,700 delegates from over 90 countries are expected to attend.

The 2026 forum’s theme is “Innovate at scale”. Discussions will address China’s next phase of economic development and how to turn advances in frontier sectors – artificial intelligence, new energy, biomedicine and quantum technology – into real economic benefits. Gao Weiqi, an official of the National Development and Reform Commission, said the event will showcase China’s high‑quality growth, openness and cooperation, and share the opportunities offered by its modernization.

The Summer Davos Forum was launched by the World Economic Forum in 2007 and rotates annually between the Chinese port cities of Tianjin and Dalian.
