Chinatown Den Haag to host Mid-Autumn Festival and Neighbors Day

Chinatown in The Hague will host a joint celebration of the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival and National Neighbors Day on Saturday, September 26. The event focuses on cultural exchange and community connection.

Activities at Rabbijn Maarsenplein include Tai Chi, a street food and craft market, a Mahjong competition, and a children's program. Stage performances featuring lion and dragon dances and drum shows are scheduled to begin at noon. A long-table dinner for up to 140 guests will be held at 5:00 PM, accompanied by live Chinese entertainment.

The festivities extend to the Old Center with a red lantern route running from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Additional demonstrations, music, and sports activities will take place around the Helena van Doeverenplantsoen. The day will conclude at 8:00 PM with the unveiling of new street lighting in Chinatown.
