Peru government proposes S/ 8.2 billion supplementary credit

The Peruvian government has proposed a supplementary credit of over S/ 8.2 billion to fund priority projects in security, infrastructure, health, and education, as well as prevention measures for the El Niño phenomenon. The proposal includes an extraordinary payment of 350 soles for Pensión 65 users and resources for the National Police.

In terms of infrastructure, ProInversión has distributed S/ 28 million to property owners to facilitate land release for the Anillo Vial Periférico project, which aims to improve connectivity between Callao and various Lima districts. Additionally, the National Infrastructure Authority (ANIN) inaugurated river defense works in Chincha, costing over S/ 800 million, to protect 45,000 residents from flooding.

In La Libertad, the Regional Government transferred S/ 22 million to four municipalities for local investment projects, including water sanitation, roads, and cultural industries.
