BYD posts 22% sales jump and unveils flagship Da Han sedan

In July 2026 BYD sold 419,211 vehicles, a 21.8% year‑on‑year increase, with overseas deliveries rising 124.3% to 179,841 units. The growth reflects expanding demand across Europe, Southeast Asia, Latin America and the Middle East, and underscores BYD’s position as one of the fastest‑growing electric‑vehicle manufacturers.

The company also revealed its new flagship sedan, the Da Han, measuring 5.256 m long with a 3.130 m wheelbase. Available in pure‑electric and plug‑in‑hybrid versions, the EV model can deliver up to 1,008 km (CLTC) on a single charge and generate up to 764 hp. The Da Han will make its public debut at the Chengdu Auto Show on 21 August 2026, positioning it against premium models such as the Audi A8 and Mercedes‑Benz S‑Class.
