Chinese automakers Jetour and Geely launch new smart vehicles

The Chinese automotive market is seeing intensified competition in both the SUV and sedan segments, driven by aggressive pricing and advanced intelligent driving technologies.

Jetour has launched the Traveler 7, a new model in the rapidly growing ‘box-style’ SUV segment. To capture market share in a field increasingly dominated by players like BYD and Geely, Jetour is employing a ‘volume through price’ strategy. The Traveler 7 offers both fuel and C-DM plug-in hybrid versions, with prices starting as low as 125,900 yuan. The C-DM version features Huawei Qiankun ADS 5 intelligent driving technology and a high-performance hybrid powertrain.

Simultaneously, Geely has released the Xingrui L PLUS, marking it as China’s first fuel-powered sedan to be equipped with LiDAR. The vehicle is positioned as a flagship smart hybrid sedan, with top-tier models supporting both urban and highway NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) capabilities. Pricing for the Xingrui L PLUS starts at a limited-time offer of 109,700 yuan.
