Chinese automakers roll out OTA upgrades adding mic‑free karaoke and new driver‑assist features

On July 15, Buick launched OTA version V2.0.2 for its Zhi Jing E7 plug‑in hybrid SUV. The update introduces a microphone‑free karaoke function that works with the vehicle’s 20‑speaker surround‑sound system, allowing rear‑seat passengers to sing without handheld devices. The E7, unveiled in April 2026, has a 1.5 L PHEV powertrain, a CLTC electric range of 235 km, and recorded over 10,000 deliveries in its first month, with 7,668 units sold in May, topping sales charts for midsize plug‑in SUVs.

On July 13, Lynk & Co announced OTA version 2.3.0 for its new 07, 08 and 10 EM‑P models. The upgrade adds point‑to‑point autonomous lane‑change navigation covering multi‑level garages and complex parking scenarios, memory parking, a dark‑mode desktop, and a mic‑free karaoke entry in the NetEase Cloud Music app. Additional enhancements include a voice‑assistant with a new Cantonese tone, expanded Sentinel mode options, and various UI and comfort feature improvements.
