Chinese automakers unveil JETOUR SUV and JAC pickup in Malaysia

JETOUR Auto Malaysia launched the JETOUR T1, an urban SUV priced from RM129,800. The vehicle features a 1.5‑litre turbo engine with 170 PS, LED Storm‑Eye headlights, a 10.3‑inch digital cluster, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and wireless charging. Vice‑President Nicholas Ng highlighted the model’s premium design and smart‑technology focus for everyday and weekend use.

Evolvelectric Motors introduced the JAC T9 Grand‑ES, a 2.0‑litre turbo‑diesel 4×4 pickup priced around RM120,000. It is equipped with an eight‑speed automatic transmission, multiple driving modes and was tested on the varied Jalan Lama Gombak route, showing strong low‑end torque and responsive performance. Both launches signal Chinese manufacturers expanding their presence in Malaysia’s competitive SUV and pickup markets.
