Chinese Business Delegation Visits US to Boost Trade Cooperation

From July 27 to July 31, a delegation of 22 Chinese companies led by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) travelled to Salt Lake City, Chicago and Washington, D.C. The visit was arranged at the invitation of the US‑China Business Council (USCCB) and included more than 120 meetings with American firms and officials.

CCPIT chairman Ren Hongbin told participants that the recent Beijing summit between the Chinese and U.S. heads of state created a strategic framework for deeper commercial ties. He highlighted China’s 15th Five‑Year Plan, the upcoming Fifth Chain Expo and the APEC “China Year” as opportunities for joint investment and supply‑chain stability. USCCB chairman Sean Stein said U.S. companies are eager to engage constructively with Chinese partners and to learn from each other’s markets.

The delegation’s agenda focused on translating high‑level political consensus into concrete business projects, promoting mutual market access and reinforcing the global supply chain.
