Chinese Chamber of Commerce visits DHL Malpensa hub

A delegation from the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Italy (CCCIT), accompanied by 15 exporting companies, visited the DHL Express international hub in Malpensa to discuss economic prospects between Italy and China.

The meeting focused on high-value sectors including high-tech, life sciences, healthcare, industrial automation, and sustainable mobility. Trade between the two nations saw significant growth in 2025, with total exchanges reaching 74.9 billion euros, an 11.2% increase, while Italian exports totaled 14.3 billion euros.

DHL reported significant shipment increases in high-tech (+40%) and life sciences & healthcare (+27%). The Malpensa hub, a 50,000 square meter facility opened in 2021 with a 110 million euro investment, serves as a major gateway, employing over 900 people and capable of processing 38,000 parcels per hour.
