Chinese electric SUVs iCaur V27 and BYD ATTO 2 launch in Czech Republic and Slovakia

Chinese automaker Chery is set to introduce its iCaur V27 SUV to the Czech market. The nearly 4.9‑metre vehicle blends off‑road styling with SUV comfort, offering a 715‑litre boot, a 15.4‑inch media screen, Pioneer audio, and 21 driver‑assist systems. Powered by two electric motors (335 kW total) it can accelerate to 100 km/h in six seconds, tow up to 1.6 t, and achieve a claimed range of over 800 km on a 34.3 kWh battery, with a generator‑type 150‑kW auxiliary unit. A formal launch in the Czech Republic is planned for early next year, with a showroom to open in Prague.

In neighbouring Slovakia, BYD’s compact ATTO 2 SUV received a positive review. Priced at €35,999 (plus a metallic‑paint surcharge), the model features a 150 kW motor, 310 Nm torque and a 64.8 kWh LFP battery delivering a WLTP‑quoted 430 km range, up to 600 km in city driving. Acceleration to 100 km/h is achieved in about seven seconds. The interior includes a 12.8‑inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 50 W wireless phone charging and a 60 W USB‑C port. Fast‑charging can add up to 80 % in roughly 30 minutes.
