Chinese embodied‑AI startups raise multi‑billion‑yuan angel rounds
Two China‑based embodied‑intelligence companies have closed angel‑round financings worth several hundred million yuan each. Guangxiang Technology announced a cumulative multi‑billion‑yuan raise backed by investors such as Zhuhai Technology Industry Group, Xingzheng Capital and listed firm Xinyun Technology. The funding will expand development of its physical‑native base model and accelerate commercial delivery of its Phi‑Bot X1 robot, which has completed real‑world tests on automotive assembly lines.
TranscEngram (Yisheng Technology) also secured a multi‑billion‑yuan angel round from a mix of industrial capital and state‑owned platforms, including Zhongsheng Pharma, Pudong Venture Capital and Zhangjiang High‑Tech. The company is building a "brain + cerebellum" memory system that combines visual and motor memory to enable robots to learn, predict and interact with the physical world. It reports three‑fold performance gains over existing VLA models and is pursuing hotel‑service automation and high‑end aerospace assembly as initial markets.
Both firms aim to commercialise next‑generation embodied AI that can continuously improve through physical interaction, positioning China as a growing hub for advanced robotics innovation.
