Data from the third quarter of 2026 reveals significant shifts in the top holdings of over 5,800 actively managed equity funds. While AI-related sectors experienced adjustments, fund managers moved capital toward innovation drugs and non-ferrous metals.
In the technology sector, optical module leaders Zhongji Innolight and Eoptolink maintained their positions as the first and second largest holdings, respectively, despite price volatility. Notably, ChangXin Technology emerged as a major focus, appearing in the top ten holdings of more than 1,700 funds and accounting for 22% of its circulating shares.
In the pharmaceutical sector, WuXi AppTec rose to become the third largest holding, with fund holdings increasing by over 40% compared to the previous quarter. Other significant movements include increased interest in upstream optical chips, such as Yuanjie Technology, and new entries into the top twenty holdings like Tencent Holdings and Zijin Mining.
