Chinese esports monitor market rebounds as MSI launches 4K 240 Hz QD‑OLED display

In May, online sales of esports monitors in China rose to 721,000 units, generating 8.9 billion yuan, ending a months‑long decline. The market showed a modest uplift, with the top four brands losing share; AOC remained first with 17.3% of online sales, HKC held second with 14.3%, and KTC took third. OLED esports screens saw a 72% sales jump, pushing their penetration from 3.2% to 6.1% of the segment. Mid‑range models priced between 2,000 and 4,000 yuan continue to dominate about 60% of the market.

Meanwhile, MSI has released the MAG 321UP QD‑OLED X24, a 31.5‑inch monitor featuring a 4K (3840 × 2160) panel with a 240 Hz refresh rate. Priced at 5,999 yuan, the unit offers 300 nits SDR brightness, 1,300 nits HDR peak, 0.03 ms response time, and a DarkArmor coating that reduces color tint under ambient light. It includes a VESA‑compatible stand, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4a, USB‑C with 15 W power delivery, and a range of calibration tools.
