Lepas brand to launch in Australia via Chery Group infrastructure

Chery Group is launching Lepas, a new mid-tier to entry-premium new energy brand, in the Australian market. The brand aims to leverage the existing backend infrastructure of Chery Motor Australia, including technical support, parts, and warranty systems, to facilitate a smoother entry than independent newcomers.

Lepas plans to debut in October with the L6, a mid-size electric crossover SUV. The brand's roadmap includes the L4 small SUV, the L8 and L9 larger SUVs, and the L2 hatchback through 2028. While Lepas will operate an independent sales network, it intends to use existing Chery dealerships as service agents to bolster its reach.
