Chinese EV makers Xpeng and Leapmotor unveil new models for European market

Chinese electric‑vehicle manufacturer Xpeng officially presented the L03 SUV‑coupé in Munich, Germany. The L03 will be offered in fully electric form and a future range‑extended hybrid version, with four trims ranging from a rear‑wheel‑drive standard‑range model (445 km) to all‑wheel‑drive performance versions (up to 520 km range, 0‑100 km/h in 4.5 s). Battery capacities are 58.3 kWh or 71.2 kWh using LFP chemistry, and a planned REEV variant will add a 1.5‑litre gasoline generator to achieve over 1,000 km total range. The vehicle features a new “Vital Flow” design language, extensive driver‑assist systems, and AI‑powered infotainment.

Leapmotor announced its B03 compact city car for the French market. The B03 measures 4.18 m long and offers a 510 km electric range, fast‑charging capability, and AI‑driven intelligent driving functions. Pricing is expected to be under €20,000, with a public debut anticipated at the 2026 Paris Motor Show. The model targets young urban drivers seeking a spacious yet affordable electric vehicle.
