Chinese firms Haier Smart Home and Xiaomi climb Fortune Global 500 2026 rankings

Haier Smart Home re‑entered the Fortune Global 500 list for 2026, moving up 12 places to rank 378. The Chinese appliance maker is expanding its AI‑driven product portfolio and local manufacturing, with a presence in North America, Europe and emerging markets, and reports over 1.3 billion registered smart‑home users worldwide.

Xiaomi Group also rose on the 2026 Fortune list, reaching position 232 – its highest ever and an improvement of 65 spots. The company highlighted strong revenue growth in 2025, driven by its “people‑car‑home” ecosystem, accelerated AI development and rapid expansion of its electric‑vehicle business, which posted over 1 trillion yuan in sales. Xiaomi announced continued heavy R&D investment, including at least 200 billion yuan over the next five years and a 160 billion yuan AI spend for 2026.
