Chinese foundry firm to invest $40 million in Edirne, Turkey
A Chinese foundry company has signed a contract to establish a production facility in the Atatürk Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) located in the Uzunköprü district of Edirne, Turkey. The investment is valued at approximately $40 million and is expected to begin construction shortly.
The facility is scheduled to become operational by September of next year. In its initial phase, the plant will focus on casting production and is projected to provide employment for approximately 500 people. The second phase of the project is planned to incorporate 3D technologies.
Edirne Governor Yunus Sezer highlighted the province's growing importance as a strategic logistics hub due to international trade routes and railway investments, including the Middle Corridor and Development Road projects. Sezer noted that the province is increasingly attracting global investors through its expanding industrial infrastructure and the establishment of four new organized industrial zones.
