Chinese Lepas brand launches L8 Super Hybrid SUV in Spain

Lepas, a new automotive brand of China's Group Chery, is entering the Spanish market with the L8 Super Hybrid plug‑in hybrid SUV. The model is scheduled to arrive in June 2026 and will be offered in two trims, priced at €41,700 for the Essence version and €45,200 for the Elegance version.

The L8 combines a 1.5 L TGDI gasoline engine with two electric motors and an 18.4 kWh LFP battery, delivering 279 hp and a total range of more than 1,100 km, including up to 90 km on electric power alone. It features a 13.2‑inch vertical touchscreen, a 10.25‑inch digital instrument cluster, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor, and extensive driver‑assist systems.

Lepas has set up a post‑sale network in Spain with a central warehouse in Azuqueca de Henares that holds 98 % of spare‑part references and promises 24‑hour delivery to mainland dealers. The brand also provides a 7‑year/150,000 km warranty, an eight‑year battery warranty, and three years of roadside assistance.
