Chinese medical mission provides free healthcare in Kara, Togo

The 29th Chinese medical mission to Togo provided free medical services at the Kara Regional Hospital (CHR). A total of 172 individuals received medical consultations, health examinations, and free medication.

In addition to clinical services, the nine-member team—which includes specialists in internal medicine, surgery, gynecology-obstetrics, orthopedics, stomatology, anesthesia, and acupuncture—donated urgent medical supplies and equipment to the hospital. This contribution is intended to strengthen the facility's capacity for patient care and replenish its medical stocks.

The mission is part of a long-standing health cooperation between Lomé and Beijing that has spanned over fifty years. Dr. Agoro Sibabe, the Regional Director of Health for Kara, participated in the handover ceremony.
