Chinese restaurant owner gifts BMWs to employees

Ma Yanli, owner of a beef hotpot restaurant chain in Jiaozuo, Henan province, has gained social media attention for gifting brand-new BMW cars to her high-performing employees. Each vehicle is valued at approximately 300,000 yuan.

The decision was motivated by Ma's desire to protect her staff from harsh weather conditions. After observing an employee, Li Jie, commuting via electric scooter in freezing temperatures, Ma decided to provide a more comfortable and warm means of transportation.

Ma stated that while she has achieved personal success, the company's prosperity is a result of the collective efforts of all employees. She emphasized her wish for her staff to share in the company's success. The gifts were provided without requiring employees to sign any binding agreements in exchange for the vehicles.
