Chinese Shenzhou-21 astronauts return safely after seven‑month mission

China’s Shenzhou‑21 crew landed safely on Earth on 29 May 2026 after a nearly seven‑month stay in orbit. The three astronauts – Zhang Lu, Wu Fei and Zhang Hongzhang – launched on 31 October 2025 aboard a Long March‑2F rocket from the Jiuquan space‑port in the Gobi Desert.

The spacecraft touched down at the Dongfeng landing site in Inner Mongolia. State media reported that all three crew members are in good health following the mission, which adds another milestone to China’s expanding human‑spaceflight program.
