Chinese universities hold commemorative activities to honor Long March spirit

Students and faculty from five major Chinese universities, including Harbin Institute of Technology, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Wuhan University, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, and Lanzhou University, conducted a joint party-building activity in Yan'an, Shaanxi. Held from October 10-11, 2026, the event aimed to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the victory of the Red Army's Long March and promote the Yan'an spirit.

The participants visited historical sites such as Mount Bao'ta, Yangjialing Revolutionary Site, and the Yan'an Revolutionary Memorial Hall. The program included thematic lectures, collective readings, and visits to the Academy of Chinese People's Anti-Japanese Military and Political University to foster national identity and commitment to national development among the youth.

In a separate educational initiative in Tianjin, the municipal Federation of Trade Unions organized a lecture series at Tianjin Normal University. The event featured six local model workers who shared personal stories connecting the spirit of the Long March with modern craftsmanship and professional dedication, aimed at inspiring students to contribute to national strength through their respective fields.
