Chinese University of Hong Kong denies Zhang Long's professorship claims

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) has issued a formal statement denying any employment, teaching, or authorization relationship with Zhang Long, a man who has spent nearly three years posing as a CUHK guest professor.

Zhang Long, identified as the editor-in-chief of Western News Network and executive director of Shaanxi Longchuang Culture Media Co., Ltd., has frequently used a forged CUHK appointment letter to participate in various cultural activities and public events. While he holds several legitimate titles from other institutions, the CUHK affiliation is entirely fabricated.

The university stated it reserves the right to take legal action against any unauthorized use of its name that damages its reputation. The incident has highlighted broader issues regarding the verification of academic and professional titles in social and cultural sectors.
