Chinese vehicle manufacturers expand market presence and performance
Chinese automotive manufacturers are gaining significant traction in both new and used vehicle markets. In Australia, the BYD Shark 6 has emerged as the country’s fastest-selling used vehicle, averaging 27.9 days to sell while retaining 92.1 percent of its value. Chinese-made vehicles accounted for five of the eight quickest-selling models across Australian states and territories in August.
In the commercial sector, Foton is expanding its lineup with the introduction of the Foton 4 plug-in hybrid pickup. The vehicle features a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine paired with an electric motor, delivering a combined 476 CV. The truck includes a 32.85 kWh battery and supports V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) functionality, allowing users to power external tools from the vehicle's battery.
