Chinese Wenjie M6 tops smart car index; Hongmeng G9 gets L3 test license

The Wenjie M6 2026 Ultra‑plus four‑wheel‑drive version was evaluated in the China Smart Car Index 2026 batch and received the highest G+ ratings across four categories: intelligent safety, driving, parking and interaction. It earned a perfect 130 points for safety, 109 out of 110 for driving assistance, full marks for high‑speed lane‑keeping, and a perfect 100 for memory‑parking, while its voice‑touchscreen system scored 58.5 of 59.

Hongmeng Zhixing’s new Enjoy G9 SUV became the first vehicle in Beijing granted an L3 autonomous‑driving test licence for speeds up to 120 km/h. The vehicle combines a 896‑line laser‑radar, visual sensors and millimetre‑wave radar, and has passed safety, functional, network and data‑security verification. Designed for night and highway operation, the system can execute navigation, efficiency and safety lane‑changes. The G9 features a Huawei‑developed motor, 800 V high‑voltage system, and a CLTC range exceeding 1,300 km, with dimensions of roughly 5.2 m length, 2.05 m width and a 3.16 m wheelbase.
