Chioggia implements online renewal for 2027 ZTL permits

The municipality of Chioggia has transitioned the renewal process for 2027 ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone) permits to an entirely online system. This change aims to eliminate physical queues and waiting times for residents and authorized users.

Ahead of the September 2026 deadline, eligible individuals will receive an email notification containing a summary of authorized license plates and a direct link to the Chioggia ZTL Portal. The renewal process requires a digital payment of 15 euros per vehicle via credit card. Once the transaction is complete, the system will issue a confirmation email including the receipt and the renewed permit.

Authorities recommend completing the procedure before current permits expire to avoid potential sanctions. Early renewals will not result in penalties or a reduction in the permit's duration, ensuring continuous validity.
