Chios Festival 2026 draws international dignitaries to Greece

The 2026 edition of the Chios Festival marks the fifth anniversary of the event and coincides with the centenary of the Academy of Athens. The programme features a series of cultural evenings held at the historic 15th‑century Castelli manor in Myrvolo, Chios.

High‑profile guests include the Pope, the Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa, Greek Parliament Speaker Nikitas Kaklamanis, Academy of Athens President Nikiforos Diamantourous, and numerous leading scholars from institutions such as Harvard, Cambridge and Karolinska Institute. Awards will be presented, and the festival will showcase documentary screenings, musical performances and theatrical productions that link historic memory with contemporary art.

The event brings together politicians, academics, artists and international figures, underscoring the festival’s role as a platform for cultural dialogue and scholarly exchange in Greece.
