Chios Municipality issues rental call for Kardamyla apartments

The Municipality of Chios has issued a call of interest for the rental of two apartments, designated as I1 and B2, located within the Gemelos complex in Kardamyla. The units measure 37.13 square meters and 49.27 square meters, respectively.

Historical records from the former Municipality of Kardamyla indicate that the complex was donated by Ioannis K. Gemelos and Michalis K. Gemelos with the stipulation that the premises be used for teachers or public employees serving in Kardamyla. Questions have been raised regarding whether the Municipality of Chios is upholding this commitment and why the call for interest does not explicitly prioritize the educational community or local public servants.

Applicants must submit a proposal file to the Municipality of Chios protocol, including tax clearance for the tenant and a guarantor, municipal clearance, and a declaration of awareness regarding the current condition of the properties. Social criteria for selection include being a large family, having a person with a disability, being a newly appointed official in Kardamyla, or being a public employee serving in the area.
